Our January, 2007 speaker is Hugh Carola from The Hackensack Riverkeeper.  The following is Hugh's description of his lecture.

The topic of my presentation is: A Virtual Tour of the Hackensack River.  I have a PowerPoint slideshow full of photos (scenery, wildlife and more) taken along the river and throughout its watershed.  During the presentation we will discuss the natural and human history of the watershed, take a candid look at the present and look to the future with its planned mix of preservation and redevelopment.  I will also focus on wildlife issues, conservation and the planned establishment of an 8400-acre preserve in the Meadowlands.  Q&A are very welcome!
